Laying a Firm Foundation

Construction in Uganda requires lots of digging, rock and cement.  It is very different than the way we pour our foundations of slabs or pier and beam construction with lots of treated wood.  The wood in Uganda is very hard wood but not treated by the lumber companies. Any wood used in the house has to be treated on site due to the large supply of termites!
